Gongwer News Service/Ohio Report is the premier independent source for news and information on Ohio government and politics. Named for its founder, Charles Gongwer, the company since 1906 has provided unmatched coverage of action at the Statehouse as well as state and federal elections in Ohio.

Now Gongwer presents its 2014 Elections App, providing voters, political junkies and other interested parties with the best product available to stay on top of this year's elections for state and federal office in Ohio.

Upon opening the app, users can choose whether to review information about the May 6 primary election when the Democratic and Republican voters nominated their party's candidates or the November 4 General Election.

Users can then select their race of interest - Governor, U.S. House, Ohio Senate, Ohio House and other offices. Drop-down menus will appear.

Selecting Candidates for Governor or other statewide office will take users to the names of the candidates for that office with links to a wealth of information about each candidate - biographical details, links to their social media accounts, websites, contact tools, links to their campaign finance reports and more. Selecting Candidates for U.S. House, Ohio Senate or Ohio House will bring up buttons for each district for those offices. Pick the district of interest to find the same trove of information mentioned above or hit "Open/Close All" to see all districts.

Or maybe you just want to review which races Gongwer considers key ones, the competitive races that are up for grabs. Under U.S. House, Ohio Senate and Ohio House, just pick Key Races to filter out the districts that are not competitive.

Gongwer covers races for state and federal office more closely than any other news source. So take advantage of our expertise and access to vital political data by selecting Analysis once you pick the office to review - Governor, U.S. House, Ohio Senate or Ohio House.
